Join This Virtual Wine Tasting For A Festive Night In
What’s the deal?
Humble Grape is hosting a virtual Christmas wine tasting event this Monday 21st December at 6:30pm where you can enjoy trying some new wines, pick up some wine tips and do something different all from the comfort of your home. The box, which has everything you need for an at-home tasting, will be posted through your letterbox, in time for the event. On the day, you’ll join a virtual event on Zoom, hosted by Humble Grape experts.
Who’s behind it?
Humble Grape run a group of ‘wine bar restaurants’ in London. They have five locations – Battersea, Islington, Canary Wharf, Fleet Street and Liverpool Street – where visitors normally enjoy delicous wine over bar snacks or dinner courtesy of the on-site kitchen (the food is excellent), and shop an extensive wine collection at each location. Founded in 2009 by James Dawson, the company imports more than 400 sustainable wines from boutique wineries around the world. Their team are truly passionate about what they do – and their extensive wine knowledge means you’ll find the perfect bottle, whatever the occasion.
What do you get in your box?
Each box contains:
-
A tasting mat with information on each wine and vineyard
-
A complete tasting guide
-
4 x 100ml samples of wine
The Wines:
Kvaszinger Borászat, Tokaji Szamorodni, 2017, Tokaj, Hungary

Think overripe grapes, skin-contact maceration and nine months matured in the barrel.
Rainbow's End Merlot, 2017 Stellenbosch, South Africa
This one offers remarkable acidity followed by notes of plum, mint chocolate and ripe ruby fruits.
Cantina Ronca Ulderico Rosso, 2015, Veneto, Italy
A modern Amarone-style wine, which is named after the winemaker's Grandpa.
Can anyone join?
Yup. You don’t have to be a member of the Humble Grape Club to join the event. Anyone over the age of 18 can join the festivities – whether you're on your own or with someone else.
Tickets cost £55 (you can share a ticket and the 4 x 100ml wines between two of you if you're in the same household, or on your own – it's up to you). You can purchase yours here – just be sure to place your order by Thursday to receive your delivery in time.
