MEET THE GIRLS FOR BRUNCH: La Rampa

Latin American restaurant La Rampa has created a brunch menu to be accompanied by live music on Saturdays. Diners can try Latin-inspired dishes while listening to live bands who will transport guests to 1950s Cuba. Menu highlights include corn ‘ribs’ with chipotle mayo and lime; tuna ceviche with avocado, almonds and coriander; picante eggs with spicy tomato and pepper sauce, croutons and tostadas; and pancakes topped with mango jam, coconut yoghurt and tropical fruit. For an extra £27.50pp you can enjoy 90 minutes of bottomless cocktails including frozen margaritas, mojitos or tropical mimosa made with Moët & Chandon champagne, guava and mango.

HAVE A CREATIVE DAY OUT: Connaught Village Garden Festival

On Saturday 11th June, Connaught Village hosts its first garden festival to coincide with the National Garden Scheme’s annual event, which raises funds for various charities in the UK. Visitors can listen to talks, enjoy five residential gardens within the Hyde Park Estate, and take part in free craft workshops like terracotta pot painting, botanical life drawing and flower arranging. There will also be morning yoga classes in the gardens and a shopping pop-up featuring gifts and artwork from independent shops and galleries. Don’t miss the chance to pop into Hyde Park Stables at Bathurst Mews to meet the horses and arrange an afternoon canter in the park. Tickets are free.

TRY A NEW CLASS: John Reed

Berlin fitness group John Reed has launched four high-intensity classes at its London gym in Liverpool Street. Look out for ‘Wipeout’, a series of HIIT moves with cardio, ‘Barre Soul’ for toning and strengthening, ‘Box Power’ boxing classes, and ‘Core Control’ to get your abs working. You can also use the gym’s state-of-the-art equipment while DJs play up-tempo music and house tunes. The best part? POP DOWN TO THIS POP-UP: Mercato Alighieri at Television Centre

Jewellery brand Alighieri has opened a pop-up store in the Television Centre’s courtyard. Until Sunday 19th June, the Italian-themed shop will display Alighieri’s recycled gold, silver and bronze jewellery in its signature 24ct gold-plating. Visitors can also shop gifts from the tabaccheria, enjoy ice-cream from Gelateria Notte, and book styling sessions at Mariella’s Bridal for bespoke engagement rings.

BOOK AHEAD: Henrietta Hotel Supper Club

Henrietta Hotel’s restaurant Da Henrietta is laying on a series of supper clubs. Tickets have just gone on sale for the next event on Thursday 30th June at 7pm which will showcase cuisine from Genoa in Italy. Hosted by duo Italian Supper Club, diners will enjoy canapés and a welcome drink, followed by a four-course meal with wine pairings. The menu is strictly under wraps but if the last supper club is anything to go by, we’re expecting good things.

DISCOVER NEW WINE: Humble Grape 

Humble Grape is hosting a series of wine tastings at its bars in Battersea and Islington. Each one showcases something different, from the best bottles to drink with summer dishes to new up-and-coming wines to have on your radar. Next week, guests can learn how to pair different wines with BBQ dishes (Tuesday 14th June at Battersea; Thursday 16th June at Islington). Later in the month, winemaker Andreas Hüwohl will host a six-course dinner with wine pairings from his family run German estate, Weingut von Winning. SEE A BEAUTIFUL INSTALLATION: British Flowers Week at The Garden Museum

The Garden Museum’s annual British Flowers Week exhibition returns today until Monday 13th June. Five of Britain’s top florists – Frida Kim, Harriet Parry, Kate Wren Flowers, McQueens Flowers and Wagner Kreusch – have created sculptural flower installations using seasonal, British-grown flowers arranged with eco-friendly materials. Don’t miss the impressive ethereal display by Frida Kim, inspired by her childhood Korea.

VISIT THIS EXHIBITION: Wildlife Art by Hannah Shergold at Mall Galleries

Today, artist Hannah Shergold opens her solo exhibition at Mall Galleries in St James’s. Hannah is an ambassador of conversation charity Tusk which protects wild animals across Africa – and 20% of proceeds from the exhibition’s sales will be donated to the trust. The new collection features 15 oil painting of animals in the wild like cheetahs sprinting across the African plains, a family of lions drinking from a lake, and wildebeest gathering at a watering hole. Tickets are free.

ORDER MARGARITAS: Cointreau Terrace at Nebula Bar

Cointreau has opened a tropical margarita terrace at Nebula Bar in Hackney. The bar has been kitted out with orange flowers and blankets for colder evenings, and there’s a playlist curated by DJ Tenoshi. Guests can order classic and frozen margaritas from Cointreau’s bikes on the terrace before tucking into pizzas, including a limited-edition ‘Peach for the Moon’ pizza made with prosciutto, peaches and basil.

GET DATE NIGHT RIGHT: Il Giardino at The Berkeley

The Berkeley hotel has opened an Italian-inspired summer pop-up on its terrace. Bringing a slice of Mediterranean life to London, Il Giardino is lined with olive trees, herb plants and candles. Diners will be welcomed with warm focaccia and a list of Mediterranean wines, before choosing from dishes like grilled asparagus with truffle and parmesan; sautéed octopus with broad bean purée and fried breadcrumbs; lemon and chilli baby chicken with fennel and olive salad; roasted wild seabass and caponata; and tagliolini with Sicilian pesto. There are also cocktails from the spritz trolley, and desserts including ice-cream, tiramisu and lemon meringue tart.
