TAKE THE KIDS HERE: Ace Hotel London Shoreditch

Ace Hotel’s Wake Up Gigs showcase new artists so parents can enjoy the best live bands and artists and the full gig experience alongside their families. For the first show of 2019, Millie Turner and Jetlines will head to The Rooftop. Jetlines are an atmospheric trio from Nottingham with a similar sound to Bon Iver while Millie Turner, tipped to be the next big thing, is an 18-year-old Hackney-raised singer. Check her out in SL’s February Luxe List. Expect soft play, colouring and glitter painting for the little ones and music and a fully-stocked bar for parents.

CELEBRATE LONDON FASHION WEEK HERE: Erdem At J Sheekey Atlantic Bar

To coincide with London Fashion Week, J Sheekey Atlantic Bar in Covent Garden will reveal a one-off, fashion-forward fruits de mer stand, designed for the restaurant by renowned designer Erdem Moralıoğlu. Drawing influence from jewellery and patterns that feature in Erdem’s collections, the silver-plated platter will feature delicate engravings of koi fish, drawn from above as though swimming underwater. The platter will include tuna and salmon sashimi; cock crab claw; lobster; langoustine; tiger prawns; surf clams; cockles mussels and oysters. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label will be offered alongside the dish, priced at £16 a glass.

DROP IN FOR BREAKFAST HERE: Monty’s Deli

Jewish soul food restaurant Monty’s Deli has launched a new brunch menu, now available at its flagship site in Hoxton all day from Tuesday through to Sunday. The new menu mixes Monty’s much-loved signatures with completely new creations, including the team’s first vegan offering, alongside brunch plates of salt beef, coleslaw, eggs and latkes; house-cured belly lox, sour cream, rocket salad and latkes and avocado; and eggs, fermented chilli sauce, latkes and rocket salad. We also like the sound of the soft-cooked egg and cheese challah buns (with optional add-ons of hot pastrami or smoked salmon). The drinks menu offers New York style; ice-cold martinis and manhattans, house bloody marys plus a selection of wine, craft beers and lager on tap.

FEEL FINE HERE: The Shop At Bluebird

This London Fashion Week, The Shop at Bluebird will launch the second edition of its wellness pop-up lounge, New-trition. New-trition will house all the essentials to survive during London Fashion Week and be the location to escape to between shows. Taking over the ground floor, the lounge will offer reclining chairs, calming sounds and wellness professional Gabriela Peacock’s medical approved vitamins, Get-a-Drip. The IV Vitamin Drips and booster shots specialists will be on hand to revitalise weary London Fashion Week goers and the public alike.

HAVE A COSY SUNDAY HERE: Rochelle Canteen

From this Sunday, Margot Henderson and Melanie Arnold will launch a series of Sunday evening ‘Pie and a Pint’ nights at Rochelle ICA. The weekly ode to the humble dish will allow diners to dive into a pie accompanied by a pint or a glass of house wine for just £10. From rural pheasant, prune and trotter fillings to the more familiar chicken, leek and wild mushroom, each of Margot and head chef Ben Coombs’ weekly changing pies will be topped with a crisp layer of suet or puff pastry to quell those Sunday night blues. The weekend-prolonging cocktail menu includes classic Negronis, while the dessert menu comprises strawberry-ripple ice-cream; chocolate and salted caramel tart; and rhubarb and custard.

DRINK UP HERE: The Lost Lagoon

Bompas & Parr and Captain Morgan have partnered up to create The Lost Lagoon, an underground man-made lake with several islands. Experiential event pros Bompas & Parr will take Londoners on a nautical adventure in the voluminous basement of West 12 Shopping Centre. The experience is designed to refocus attention on one of the oldest mixed drink categories – punch – which played an important role in maritime traditions such as naval rum rations. As part of the experience, guests will collect various ingredients to make their own rum-based punches. Tickets cost £20 and must be purchased in advance.

BE LAST-MINUTE HERE: Winterland London

Winterland London is a heated outdoor drinking, dining and entertainment destination located in Fulham. Boasting resplendent fur-lined sofas, retro gondolas and chairlifts, igloos and firepits, this weekend, it’s got something extra up its sleeve. Ditching its alpine vibe until 23rd February, the team is putting up cherry blossom igloos and lodges to host couples, friends or Valentine’s dates. Inside, guests can get stuck into cheese fondues and champagne. A retro room, multiple bars and food from Cheeky Burger complete the offering.

SEE THIS: Tracey Emin at White Cube

White Cube Bermondsey is currently host to A Fortnight of Tears by Tracey Emin. Installed throughout the gallery’s spaces, this major exhibition includes sculpture, neon, painting, film, photography and drawing, all focusing on the artist’s own memories and emotions arising from loss, pathos, anger and love. The exhibition centres around Emin’s own pain, including her mother’s death, with works shown in The Ashes Room evoking states of bereavement, mourning and enduring love. A must see.
