BOOK A TABLE AT:

The Good Front Room

The Langham has launched The Good Front Room, a modern Caribbean restaurant from chef Dom Taylor, who people might remember from Five Star Kitchen: Britain’s Next Great Chef on Channel 4. The cooking competition, filmed at The Langham and judged by the hotel’s culinary director Michel Roux Jr, awarded the winning chef with their very own restaurant at the hotel. Drawing on his classical training, years of restaurant experience, love of travel and his family teachings, Dom is on a mission to recreate, modernise and ignite a new lease of life into Caribbean cooking. At The Good Front Room, guests can sample starters such as jerk chicken with plantain jam, plantain crisp, and blackened sweetcorn dressing; and ackee and saltfish cakes with confit garlic, scotch bonnet aioli, pineapple and heirloom tomato chow. To keep up with demand (the restaurant is only in residence for six months) opening hours will extend to include Sundays from 20th August.

Laurent Perrier At The Savoy

From 18th-20th August, Laurent-Perrier's rosé van, Rosie, will be stationed outside The Savoy hotel serving its famed cuvée rosé. Operating from 1-7pm daily, we recommend allowing plenty of time for a tipple in between exploring the capital. You don’t have to be a resident guest at the hotel to enjoy a glass – plus, there’ll also be strawberry sorbet made by the talented Savoy pastry team.

TRY A NEW COCKTAIL:

Pomello At The Ivy

Pomello is a new a refreshing aperitif that blends pomello and elderflower – a first for the UK market – and it’s now available to try at The Ivy. Served with sparkling wine over ice and garnished with a wedge of fresh grapefruit, it can now be enjoyed in each of The Ivy restaurants in its original serve – the pomello spritz. Fresh and natural ingredients have been used to create the light aperitif which is delicately sweet with a touch of bitterness but if you prefer, it can also be served simply with soda or tonic, topped with fresh fruit.
