Beckman has just opened a free exhibition at The Pilgrm hotel in Paddington. Drawn to the underground hip-hop scene, she moved to New York in 1983 and photographed the likes of Run DMC, Slick Rick, Salt-N-Pepa, LL Cool J and other iconic artists. The first event takes place on Friday 24th February when Lucy will be joined by her brother, lighting designer Max Barlow, Farrow & Ball colour specialist Patrick O’Donnell, and Fermoie director Jamie Shawcross, discussing how to design a country house, including where to spend and where to save. Guests will arrive from 5pm for welcome drinks and canapes, before the panel talk, dinner, and drinks at Fitz Bar until midnight. Tickets start from £105pp.
