The Restaurant Reservations At The Top Of Our List

"Top of my list is Dante's new home at Claridge's. The New York institution – which has been serving standout Italian food in Greenwich Village since 1915 – now has a second home at the hotel following the success of its pop-up. Sign me up for one of its signature Negronis and a bowl of pappardelle."

"I'm keen to try Latine, the newest addition to Lancashire Court – which is fast becoming one of Mayfair's best foodie destinations. I'm sold on the interiors alone: an intimate private dining room upstairs with exposed beams and mural-covered walls, plus a bright, elegant dining room below with curved furniture and striking marble. Right now, it's the outside tables I'm hoping to book – I can’t wait to linger over the Latin-French menu with a glass of wine."

"Jackson Boxer's restaurants rarely miss, so Vesper has shot straight to the top of my list. The Exmouth Market opening looks like the perfect modern neighbourhood bistro – understated, stylish and all about exceptional ingredients. I'm already planning my order: the spring onion pancakes, chicken liver agnolotti and, if I'm lucky enough to get one, the off-menu burger that's already become the stuff of London restaurant legend."

“Willett’s is the new bistro that’s opened as part of The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel. I’m not into fussy food – I like the classics done well and this ticks that box. The menus are distinctly British and filled with seasonal ingredients cooked simply – but to perfection. I also love that the name is inspired by William Willett, who campaigned for British Summer Time. The restaurant’s daily ‘Willett’s Hour’ is therefore a nod to that hour of daylight saving. From 6pm-7pm each evening, you can enjoy a seat on the terrace or at the bar and choose from a selection of treats, including £1 sausage rolls, £1 oysters and an £8 signature cocktail.”

"I can't wait to try The Crazy Goose which is Brighton's latest opening from the team behind Black Rock restaurants, which includes The Salt Room and Burnt Orange – some of the best spots for food in the city. Offering pub classics, seafood, and hearty pies, it's perfect for a long, lazy lunch."

"I'm really looking forward to trying Auguste in London Fields. Everything I've seen about it looks right up my street – thoughtful, seasonal cooking in a relaxed neighbourhood setting. It's the kind of place that feels equally suited to a long lunch or an unhurried dinner; it's firmly at the top of my list."

"It’s taken me 30 years to understand the hype around pizza (yes, really) so I'm keen to try Bar Etna in Stoke Newington – both for the pizza and the vibes. I love the looks of the fuss-free menu (Millennial decision paralysis is real) with just four thin-crust Italian-American-style pizzas and a handful of drinks on offer. Plus a silver coupe of espresso soft serve to finish? I'm sold."

"I want to try Kinz in Notting Hill next time I'm back in London. Set inside a former bank, it's a new restaurant serving what many are already calling some of the best Lebanese food in the city, all in a beautiful, light-filled space."

"SUMI has been one of my favourite sushi spots in London for years and it's one of those restaurants I recommend time and again. So I'm genuinely excited to see it opening a second home in Marylebone. Endo Kazutoshi's beautifully executed Japanese cooking, served in a relaxed neighbourhood setting, feels like the perfect fit for the area."
